It was a fresh install of Jaguar-fink (bootstrap) on a new machine. As
far as the machine with the problem is concerned, there has never been
an OS X version prior to 10.2, nor a fink version prior to jaguar-fink.
Also, as I told you privetely yesterday, a friend of mine is also
incapable of booting KDE in rootless mode.
