Hi, on Tiger/PPC I have always used an independent Gnuplot build since I want to use the newest CVS version. However, after switching to Leopard/Intel the GD library from fink seems to be no longer available to external installations. I always get the message that PNG is an inknown or ambiguous terminal. However, the Fink version of Gnuplot works fine.
What is the reason for this ugly behaviour of Leopard? I also tried to configure the CVS version with --with-gd=DIR and DIR=/sw/lib, as suggested somewhere in the web, but with no effect. Does anyone know a workaround, or will I have to install libgd independently? If so, could anyone please give me a step-by-step instruction how to do this (I never installed a library independently)?
