I think that was YOUR conclusion, and you are the maintainer, so it didn't happen. I disagreed then, and I still disagree, and it looks like more people disagree now.

The current situation causes a LOT of confusion for newbies. And for what - to save 4 megs of hard drive space. Thats silly.
