Jeff, the problem remains with the binary package in fink-0.3.2a that people get via dselect. It seems to have been built in the presence of libfftw and requires it at runtime, but dselect doesn't know about it because the dependency was not in the .info file. This is probably not the only package where people depending on the binary distribution will run into difficulties. It might sometimes be easier for them if they were told to give in and install fftw than to start compiling things themselves.
