There's no xnmap there...
Now, I am actually running the stable release of Fink, but according to the package list at fink.sourceforge.net, the latest version in both current-stable and current-unstable is nmap 3.00-3. (which, coincidentally, is the one I have installed) And no, in case you wonder, I have not installed the nmap-nox version.
Neither the contents of the .deb nor the contents of the documentation in /sw/share/doc/nmap makes any mention of a nmap front end...in any way :/
Is it possible that I somehow managed to make a mistake somewhere when installed it? (when I used "fink install nmap") Or, what exactly has gone wrong here?

Where is the front-end....and howIf you look at the nmap package file list ("dpkg -L nmap"), you see a binary /sw/bin/xnmap. There is also a man page. "man xnmap" says
DESCRIPTION
Nmapfe (also known as xnmap) is a convenient X Window
front end for the Nmap Security Scanner.
etc. So this looks like what you are looking for. In /sw/share/doc/nmap, there is also a lot of documentation in text and html form.
