Daniel,
I think I'm heading in the right direction. I get fairly large values
for vel.getDivergence() for internal cells in a steady state model
with a heterogeneous permeability field. I believe the divergence of
the velocity should return zero (or a very small number), and am
wondering if I'm passing the right values to the convection term. I
believe I am as the
concentration results I'm getting for the transport portion of the
code look reasonable, at least for the case I'm running now.
I think I was having two issues in the previous models, the boundary
conditions were not set correctly and I had set it up simulations with
very large grid peclet numbers. Does fipy include routines for
calculating peclet and CFL numbers?
I'm still working on this and will let you know if I get stuck again.
Andy

Andrew,
From this email, I am assuming things are copacetic.
