My initial impressions:

-Fire launches and connects MUCH faster than .30.b

-The most impressive thing in this release is the list clustering by alias.
I have a very large buddy list, and this feature makes Fire much more
organized.

-Ok... I keep my buddy list window extended to it's maximum vertical
length... So when I press the button to collapse the toolbar, it shrinks the
window. I don't like this :P Maybe you could create a preference option
which disables the window control for changing the window size, and has a
percentage field (relative to your screen) which Fire uses to keep the buddy
list window at a fixed size. (So I, personally, would keep fire at 100%
vertical, and about 10% horizontal).

-I like having the buddy status separate from the name in the buddy window,
but I don't like having it in a column. I like to keep the window just wide
enough to see all the buddy names and status, and no wider. Having the
separate columns makes this frustrating. I adjust the columns, then the
window... And that makes the columns change too, so I have to scroll
horizontally a little to see all of the status. So I try adjusting the
window, then the column, and I end up overshooting how much space I'll need
after the column adjustment. Not sure what the fix for this could be, but so
far I like the old way better.

-hmm... I still have no way to see people's away messages without actually
messaging them first. Can this be done with toc?

Overall, I like it, if only for the clustering by alias. I'll fool around
with the IRC protocol tomorrow, even though I don't use fire as my IRC
client.
Um... Also, I don't know anything about sourceforge, so if anyone wants to
add my ideas to the feature requests, go right ahead, I'm not.
