TiBook. I've also noticed that when I loose sound, I also have the problem
that some movies when played only play for 8 seconds. Hitting the pause
button and then the play button allows it to continue playing for another 8
seconds.
I have not figured out the cause since it just happens. Sometimes it
happens when I'm doing stuff music related. Sometimes it happens if I let
the TiBook sit idle for a little bit and come back to use it and get no
sound (after having not used iTunes prior).
Sometimes putting the TiBook to sleep and waking it up fixes it. Sometimes
a restart is required. I'll be investigating Quicktime 6 and/or Jaguar to
see if the problem gets fixed.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
