Yes, they know about this since VS2005 betas did not fix it in SP1.

I tried to make inherited control with

[Designer("System.Windows.Forms.Design.DataGridDesigner, System.Design")]

But i didn't find suitable designer for BindingNavigator :-( If you know 
such designer or other way to make this working, please write me on my 
email trofimich at ukr.net .
