The *only* difference between Firebug 1.3 and 1.4 in this regard is
that 1.3 automatically reloaded the page without your action. Some
users do not like this. They do not want Firebug to try to be too
smart. So in 1.4 you have to reload manually.

Ok, fine, reload the page. 1.4 does not do it automatically, you have
to do it manually.

Actually neither of us have any idea how many people use Firebug in
any particular way. But that does not matter because Firebug 1.4 of
course supports this use model.

If you have specific test cases where Firebug fails to be activate,
please post them here or on the issue list.

No, it's not reality, it's misunderstanding. You have to reload the
page manually. If you want to make the case for automatic reload,
please do so. We are listening to your input here as we have from the
beginning of Firebug 1.4 back in December.
