Fred,

I do not understand what is going on with this committee, but I have heard
from other folks it was disbanded without notice.

I am sorry to see all your and others hard work be deemed less than worthy.
It looks to me like all of you did quite a bit in three weeks time. I have
seen corporate committees take an enormous amount of time working through
issues
that would eventually become the backbone of the organization. I would
imagine this particular project you and others were working on would be of the
same
importance to the NFHR in regard to breeding ethics. This is definitely
going to be a timely process and there will be many times people will get
"testy".
 This is to be expected.

What is really worrisome is that is sounds like, from Amy's comments earlier,
this committee is now only going to encompass just a few select members,
presumably to get the project done in a more timely fashion. With just a
couple
of members this is obviously going to be the outcome...but will it be the RIGHT
outcome? I would much rather see a highly diverse committee take 3 years to
complete a project of such magnitude versus seeing a small and united group
taking 3 months to complete the same project. Nine times out of ten, the later
will be biased and more self serving. I hate to say that, but it is a fact of
human nature! Diversity is not something any of the NFHR BOD members should
run from, but instead, it should be embraced! This is what makes a good
corporation turn into a great one.

Again, Fred, Carol, and the rest of you that served on this committee, I am
sorry to see your efforts go to nil. I also very much appreciate the work you
accomplished in such a short time.

Lynda

<<I'm soooo very sorry that the work that a whole bunch of us did on the
Suggested Code of Ethics didn't measure up to what YOU were looking for. I
am publishing the last suggested draft RIGHT HERE IN PUBLIC. Let the
readers and members of the NFHR decide if this was wasted effort and work.>>
