But, if you are travelling from Calif. where they do not exist, I would
think this would NOT be an issue, especially if all your ducks were in
line as regards Health/Coggins paperwork.

Ah but then you didn't check out Pamela's link to the states that require
brand inspections. California DOES require them. Not sure if it is
enforced or not but look here for all of the details:
