This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] "Hello" from "steamy" Corcoran, Minnesota
My daughter, Anne, and I attended the Blue Earth Show with our new mare, Lena, and her colt, Hans --- and, of course, the "All Things Fjord & More!", business:) We had a blast - lots of good laughs, stories and now.....plans in the works for next year:) Lena and "Hasse" were shown in halter classes - good thing we have no plans to run a breeding business as neither had a good placing (but they sure have GREAT temperments!!! :) ) - and Anne could not show Lena under saddle due to lameness - but, Lena and Hasse entertained many spectators while Hasse was "ponied" around the arena and walked around the grounds. Hasse was a good ambassador of the fjord - allowing people to touch him and oggle over him. He and Anne were photographed for an area newspaper - a color photo of them landed on the front page, advertising the fair and fjord show. Next year, Hasse will stay home and Lena and Sven will get to go. The weather was terrific! Payback for last year:) Our business was booming! Thanks!!!!!!!! to all the fjordy-fans who stopped by to shop. We have a few things left that I will put on the list - stay tuned! It is bargian time:) Anne and I, along with Kristin Lee and her daugher (as a caravan) left around 8pm, Wed. evening, for home. It started raining as we entered the metro area and I was getting really tired (11pm by now). Anne and I were struggling to stay awake. At long last we were in our driveway -- and it was pouring! We hesitated a few minutes -------- woke up an hour later, horses still in the trailer:) :):) Stumbled to put them in their stall and hit the sack! I am recovering - but the trailer is not unloaded yet:) Totally fun to hang out with fun fjord folks & beautiful horses !!! Linda in Minnesota
