This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I have not done "endurance riding" but I have done Performance Driving, which is basically the carting version of endurance. It is similar to endurance, with the vet checks and P&R tracking and recovery times factored in along with time and distance. The trails are hilly and can be quite challenging. One year we did the 9.5 mile segment in just under 1 hour and 15 minutes (with over 90 degree temps), and our recovery was well under the allowable time. The Vet remarked that he never realized that Fjords could be that fit. The next year the same Vet was there and remarked to his assistant "This is the horse I was telling you about - the one that hardly broke a sweat last year." I was doing about 3 - 5 miles a day, at least 5 days a week, at the walk and trot to get her in shape for this competition.
