This is one of the best books that I have ever read about stallions:

Whether he has ever been bred or not, stallions are programmed to "test"
their herd heirarchy EVERY minute of EVERY day in the name of procreation.
Sounds like an accident waiting to happen. You should also suggest that
she look into the local laws about keeping a stallion. Some are
antiquated, but for a very good reason. LIABILITY is perhaps a good word
to tell her. Something she may not have thought about.

offered an 8 year old stallion that has not been handled for 'free'.
Her fences are 50 years old (i.e. the posts are rotten and the barb
wire breaks when you tighten it). She wants to get this horse for a
