You said in your first message "I spent hours tweaking those files and all that work is gone", which clearly led us to the track that you had no backup. No need to say that your so precious work is gone if you have a backup. Second, importing features have always been sources of problems, and files being deleted when importing a project happens very often with netbeans and visual studio too... Anyway, a warning message should appear when importing a project saying that some files/folders are going to be deleted, that way you won't have to come back here to tell people to shut up ;)
