Hi all Lets not paint David into a corner just because he had a negative comment on the company! Flex made an unfortunate, albeit well-intentioned, mistake in saying a deadline and it has bitten them a bit. Its happened and I am sure Flex regrets having broken their own pledge about this but its just a small issue.
The overriding mantra is that they will not release something until its ready to be released. A first hard lesson from the IT world. I agree with Brian that they are transitioning from a more casual paradigm to a more commercial/professional one. These are smart, well-intentioned people and I know from managing SDLC teams before, this type of change is hard and can take time. The thing I personally cringe at are comments that imply that the company has ill-intent, poor engineering skills and/or dishonest management. Its a small company learning as they go. Enjoy the products you have today, look forward to change and let them get on with it. But, allow people who have slightly less appreciation their opinions as its just part of our larger community. 73 Neal On Thu, Jul 14, 2011 at 2:14 PM, William H.
