Thanks for the reply and instructions.  Did the calibration running both the 
image and level tests with a dummy load in place.  Unfortunately the same 
results.  Noise level of S8 with the preamp off and S6 with the preamp on.  
Judging by the low noise floor on my ICOM 735, I am stating to thing there is a 
problem with the front end of the flex.

Listening to an S5 station in the clear on the IC-735.  Using the same antenna 
cable, he is just in the noise on the Flex.
