Great suggestion Tim.  However, the noise is still high.  I guess that means 
the HRFIO board is okay, which is a good thing. 

I just downloaded SDR 2.1.15.  This required me to completely uninstall 2.2.2.  
Still the noise levels were as high as I reported below.  

I just disconnected all of the cables from the 5K except power, the antenna & 
FireWire.  Still high.

I am next going to run the 5K off the same power source as the IC735.
