I suppose the 8 slices would make ALE more efficient, wouldn't it? The
TX could run through a cycle of different bands and the RX would always
be listening. No need to have the RX scan. If you had 8 TX slices,
capable of transmitting at once, then the best 'channel' could be found
with a quick, three-way handshake.
