Or 3rd-party Firmware. I think the 6000 would really shine if there was
eventually provisions to write your own 'plug-ins' that would run directly
on the radio.

That would be a fabulous capability.  I suspect that the hardware can handle
that; but, the first version of the software won't do that.  I can see that
being done in third party software.
