Interesting discussion. I believe the folks at Flex understand all of our concerns but I think you're asking for something that is unreasonable. No one is being forced to purchase the new 6000 series radios. There are some very fortunate hams who will plunk down the cash for this radio without the need to think about how it will impact them financially. If Flex is able to exploit that market with a radio that will be superior in performance to anything else on the planet then good for them. These products represent a considerable investment by the designers so please don't ask that they sell them at a lower price because of the economy. It's like walking into a Mercedes Benz dealership and asking that their flagship $180,000 car is reduced in price because of the economy. You could try but it ain't gonna happen, bro!
