Robert,
Since the 6700 does not have any rs232 support I doubt that you can make a direct connect that would drive the Step IR. I believe that those that are using the 6700 with Step IR are using a connection to the PC... I'm not sure how many 6K folks are on this list. You might get a better answer on the preview list.
