Joe, Try selecting TS-50S in the HRD setup instead of TS-2000. HRD is reponding slowly because many of the CAT commands in PowerSDR that the TS-2000 supports are not implemented yet. When HRD sends a query command to PowerSDR that PowerSDR never answers, the command will time out. These timeouts are what slows down HRD when in TS-2000 mode. The TS-50S selection in HRD will restrict the CAT commands to what is currently implemented and avoids the timeout delay.
Note, also, that the Baud rate setting has absolutely no effect in the vCOM driver. The driver will transfer data between the two virtual com port pairs as fast as the system will allow. I have successfully transferred > 3 Mbps sustained rate over the driver so speed is not a problem... 73 de Phil N8VB On 6/21/05, Joe - AB1DO <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Bill, > > I tried this also and although I successfully installed N8VBs multiport > driver build 114 (com 4/com 5) I found that HRD responded slowly at best: it > takes forever for the frequency to show in HRD.
