Elan, For a Smith chart one uses voltage and phase of the RF signals, In the SDR1k you only have DC voltages that are forward and reflected power related, like in a 'normal' SWR meter. No Smith chart possible (IMHO) I do not know about the 5000. I tried to find more on the Kachina.
