I also had to upgrade to an Astron 35M. The SDR 1000 is the real test of how continuous the duty cycle of a 13.8v power supply is. To be sure, the 35M had power to spare, but a lighter duty Astron (the 20 ) wasn't good enough in terms of its continuous power.
