Tim, Thanks for the info... I think I may have found part of the problem, but I'm not sure what to do about it... When I follow your instructions to the files and select properties I don't get a tab called Digital Signatures. The only tabs are General, Security and Details. I wonder what gives.

There is something wrong with your PC where after the drivers are installed they appear to the OS as being unsigned. I ran the install with administration privilages and still won't work properly.. So I investigated further and It appears that I have to push f8 on every boot up.. Because the drivers are not signed, my system won't allow them unless I disable driver signature enforcement on every boot up. Something told me that the firewire drivers were signed now for 64 bit, but maybe not. However, we were able to get it to work without f8 previous to my restore of the Gateway FX system. Any further ideas?
