Here's the latest update on my continuing effort to reduce DPC latency
in my computer to an acceptable level. I have updated all the drivers I
can find: video, audio and LAN. I also updated the BIOS to the latest
available version. I've also tried running the computer without virus
checking running in the background. After all of this the DPC latency
as measured by the Thesycon latency checker still looks like a dog's
breakfast. The Win7 driver for for the MoBo chipset isn't yet available
from Gigabyte yet. The north bridge is an Intel P45 Express and the
south bridge is Intel ICH10R.
My questions are these: 1) If I manage to find drivers for the MoBo
chipset on sites other than Gigabyte's (the tech support person from GB
told me they don't know when they'll post their Win7 chipset drivers)
are they likely to mess up my system?
2) Does anyone have any other ideas about how to clean up this system?
Thanks for your help- it's much appreciated.

System:
PowerSDR: v1.18.3
OS: Windows 7
MoBo: Gigabyte EP45-DS3R
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad
Video: Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT
Ram: 4GB installed
OS: MS Windows 7 32 bit
PS: Unfortunately the gigabyte tech support person had no idea about
the availability of a beta bios that fixes a DPC latency problem
