Hi, Did have a closer look at how to change the SR in VAC under Windows 7
I my case I did need to adjust the SR on VAC under sound card in control panel and did set it to 2 channel, 16 bit and 48000 Hz So now VAC line 1 and 2 are 48000, PowerSDR is 48000, and no spur when TX using DM780, I guess this must allso mean that the RX must allso be better now? I dont use fldigi, but did make a TX test in fldigi (SR set to 48000 in fldigi) and no spur there either. So just need to test MMTTY and MMVARI so I am ready for CQWW WPX RTTY. Have had some chopping sound in WSJT so must check the SR there too. So thanks for the help Simon. 73, Jan, OY3JE -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Simon HB9DRV Sent: 2. februar 2010 19:17 To: 'David Beumer W0DHB' Cc: 'Steven L Hess'; 'Jan Egholm'; [email protected] Subject: Re: [Flexradio] Spur in PSK31 output even with no rfout into Dummyload. No, DM780 opens the output device (Soundcard, VAC) at 8kHz. Surely you can set the VAC to use 48kHz (8kHz * 6) & PowerSDR at 48kHz? You do not have to use the same rate at each end of the VAC - the driver will convert the sample rate (with a little help from Windows). I really don't want to write my own VAC, I don't think the brain cells could take the strain!
