This is RF ALC, not AF ALC. It was put in to protest the PA finals

If you never drive the AF input past 0 dB, you will never have the AF ALC kick
in.

Subject: [Flexradio] About recently ALC changes in digi modes

I've noticed there are recent changes where ALC has been added to the
digital modes. I've always liked the idea of NOT having ALC when using sound
card type modes. There is a constant mantra on digi forums about NOT driving
the audio to the point where the ALC kicks in.

It would give me some peace of mind if the PSDR ALC is not very aggressive
in this sense. Let me (us) know.
