I'm glad he asked that, as I was pulling out my (oh, wait, I don't have any anymore) hair, trying to find 2.0 as well, although I could find the skins. ;)

I was just building up a new computer for the shack with my Quad core i5-650 on 64bit W7. I have to admit, I can't even drive this thing to full saturation yet. I had to roll back the firewire driver back to legacy though (I had forgotten about doing that). Now, if I can just fine a vcom emulator that I can use without putting the box into 'test' mode. Does ddutil work on 64 bit vista and have signed drivers? (I haven't gotten that far yet).

Welcome to the club!

As a best practice, always install the current versions of software, firmware
and drivers listed on the home page http://www.flex-radio.com/. This is the
stable and released software that is officially supported by FlexRadio. There
are detailed instrctions on how to install/upgrade these components on located
in the Knowledge Base.

PowerSDR 2.0 is not released software - yet. It is alpha software that is
under development and is not recommended for new users or those who desire a
stable, reliable operating environment. Alpha software is for testing new and
potentially buggy code only and there are a lot of caveats and precautions one
must understand and accept before using it. One of those is that there is no
official support for if from FlexRadio other than what the developers provide
when testing specific features. Most of the support is user provided on the
FlexEdge reflector.

For more information about the FlexEdge Reflector, please see the following web page: http://www.flex-radio.com/Support.aspx?topic=Reflector_Description

To sign up for the FlexEdge Reflector, use the FlexEdge Reflector User
Management web page

the Subscribing to FlexEdge section.

Subject: [Flexradio] Which PowerSDR version to use?

Hello All,

I just purchased a Flex 5000a. I'm a little confused about which PowerSDR
to install.

On the downloads page for it
(http://support.flex-radio.com/Downloads.aspx?fr=1) there are just graphics
skins for PowerSDR 2.x and no software.

The CD that came with the radio only has v1.18.5 on it.

Is v1.18.5 the latest "mainstream" release? Is 2.x is still under
development?
