Edwin, I have a couple of them that I use with my FT950. They are effective but no more effective, IMO, than I can be with the 5K by managing the AGC and tweaking the filters.
I got mine with the radio but, having used them a fair bit, I wouldn't pay the asking price. That being said, there are people who think they're the best thing since sliced bread so your mileage may vary.
