Agreed! I went to the local thrift store and bought a well used Sony component stereo amplifier. After changing a few capacitors, it works FB. I then bought a couple of 8" component system speakers at Radio Shack since most of the thrift store stuff was either ratty looking or blown out. The combination makes for pleasant listening when on the local nets on the ham bands, as well as excellent sound quality on the SW and AM-BC bands. And, being a stereo amplifier, I can use the second RX in the F5K to listen to two bands at once, one on each speaker. 73, Ralph W5JGV - WD2XSH/7 _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/
