Currently I have a K enwood stereo receiver hooked up to my 5000 and a pair of Bose bookshelf speakers on the first speaker o utput. For my second output I have a single Sounds Sweet speaker for when I am just monitoring CW or whatever. The combo of the Kenwwod and the Bose speakers are great BTW. If I am on SSB I use my Heil headset. However my intial reason to get another amp was to dr ive another set of speakers off of the Flex so that I could record some shows that I like from the CBC off the air to my cassette recorder that is hooked up to the Kenwood. But the more I think about this the more I lean towards just being cheap and streaming them later and leaving my setup as is.
