I bought the cheapest PCIe LPT card I could find and it worked Great, you
just had to use the physical ID of the port in stead of the standard
numbers. This was on a Windows 7 32 bit system. I could never get it to work
on a 64 bit system even with the 64 bit drivers for the card. I tried 3
different cards until I noticed that Flex says it wont work !

Another potential difficultly is the voltage levels coming out of the
parallel adapter ...
The original parallel port standard supplied 0 to 5 volt signals. Some
newer adapters supply 0-3 volt signals.. The SDR-1000 likes 0-5 volt
signals. And then there is the problem that some of the newer
"parallel" adapters support just a part of the full, original set of
signals, only enough to drive a parallel port printer. The SDR-1000
likes a full set of signals.

Just something else to look at.

The flexwiki had a list of know good adapter, but the wiki is down right
now.
