Like all decisions in the business community, the bottom $$$$ line is the
deciding factor. I suspect sales of the 5000 have dropped because of the
6000 series and would be be more when they are delivered. Just not that
much difference between a fully loaded 5000 and the 6500 especially when you
consider the cost of a newly tooled cabinet would run the cost of the 5000

And one day the 6500 and 6700 will be obsolete and discontinued. It is
inevitable. We should not be surprised at the demise of the Flex 5000A.
Someone had mentioned that Flex had just scratched the surface of what the
Flex 5000A was capable of. I guess now we'll never know of its full
potential...
