Here's something to consider:  right now the control surfaces a
visibly separate from the rest of the aircraft.  You can see a tiny
pixel wide gap in between.  Depending on view angle, you can get a lot
of aliasing artifacts from this.  It might be worth tweaking the model
slightly so that the control surfaces overlap by a small amount so you
can't see the gap.

Another thing that might be interesting is to read the gear
compression values out of the FDM ... :-)
