Oh, naughty coders doing that! I guess some one should tell them they need
to look into that.

Yeah, why not? I heard that these days it just runs in "discovery mode" (?)
if you don't have a dongle. I've never been there so don't know how that
turns out, but I'd guess it's a chance to look it over at least. I'd guess
they wont allow you to save a model but that would mean they have to supply
access to some, and then you got a textured model to export in blender or
AC3D that's at least done right enough to be in the official LW
distribution. Then you got a menas of comparison between how it looks in
it's home and how it turns out in the conversion process or how it looks in
FG once that is possible directly and routinely.

Newtek should be able to supply details or even the straight download on
their web site knowing them. If it's a "we'll send you a cd deal" then why
not? When was the last time you got something in the mail that you actually
wanted to see there?! ;O) I find those to be in the minorty these days, just
bills and junk mostly. <shrug>

You'd be able to see how good their docs are too. Like no other that I know
of. There may have been docs they made down the years that were inaccurate
or out of date or both, but I have yet to see one. Maybe I just got lucky,
but after all this time I think it's more probably because they simply get
down there roll up their sleeves and and just do the work required by the
job in hand, while maintaining high standards. I could also be wrong of
course. I rarely need to dip into the docs any more. I only use a limited
subset of what it can do and I generally know where that stuff is by now.

Have fun, hope you like what you see.
