Specifically to the route manager changed, but also in general - file bugs! Issues get confused easily here, and even worse on IRC or the forums. Use the bug tracker, file bugs, and then I can ask for information, or ask other people to reproduce - Scott Hamilton has told me of one bug in the current route manager code, but no one else has mentioned anything. Secondly, I did deliberately merge the route-manager changes when I did, to allow time for them stabilize before a December release.
