There's plenty of life left in the 'snipped based' or rather queuing
system we use now when properly implemented. The code can be a lot less
complex when using mmap and SGSampleQueue and IMA4 ADPCM compression for
the samples (reducing the data file to 7.5Mb). That said, having an
option for both might be not be a bad idea).
