I think you overestimate the effort to convert to Latex. Have a look at http://www.lyx.org ! Maybe you can just copy&paste your text to this opensource WYSIWYG Editor, eleminate the glitches and save it as latex? Since lyx doens't hide the generated latex code from the user, it is even a good tool to learn latex (and latex, btw, is always a good thing to know!). If nothing helps, don't resignate, but be keen to provide your work as an external documentation. There are aircrafts at individual hangars all around the net, why shouldn't there be a "third party" manual? But, admitted, one merged "uber manual" would be a nice thing!
