Though the numbers vary a little when you start FlightGear again (I did it several times to check the performance),

That's very hard to believe. The torque calculation doesn't contain any
random components. Only rotor rpm (which is constantly 442 after the
startup procedure), and collective (that is: js throttle).
I verified it again though it is no real problem actually because 1. you can only read the very exact numbers from the property browser and not from the instrument (73,5% looks similar to 75%) 2. it might be a question of the external control (throttle) - I discovered that in position of full throttle the property shows +1 and at minimal throttle shows -0.95.... I did no further research but if the value of minimal throttle differs from time to time it may change the torque values??? I don't know but I just mentioned it, it does not hurt now :-) I did it with the CVS of yesterday, you changed something in the calculation (1 line), I'll build the new CVS right away, just curious whether it changed something noticable when flying.

BTW:
If you ever will start work on the torque meter in the future, let me know. Might be I have some stuff for you ..

Did I miss something? The cockpit shots that you gave me already? I
used those and others. The instrument face isn't very good yet (too
thin lines -- one has to zoom in to see much of it). I'll fix that
later. Maybe someone finally manages to write a usable svg2pixmap
converter. Inkscape, gimp, ImageMagick just aren't good enough. :-(

No, nothing to complain about - the instrument is readable and good for now.
Just some general information sharing off list :-)
I'll send you a mail.
Regards
Georg
