Linux makes that very difficult, we cannot, i cannot reconfigure my
several desktops ( i have 12),
we cannot stop appli which are useful to manage and control  local
network, we cannot stop,   system graphics utilities, daemons  and so on
We we do nothing 
To do that we must build a specific benchmark configuration.
