No, it was already too late in the process to add this.
Every package maintainer is free to include it.

Be serious that patch is more 6 month old. :>[
Which is always a good reason to remind us after the release of the *third* prerelease of 0.9.9. We didn't even have had more than two prereleases before!

Erik

I have a little brain, sorry don't understand.

We all have little brains, and then we only use a fraction of the little we do have. Our policy has always been to let the jsbsim team do all jsbsim development and handle all the patches. Then they give updated code to the FlightGear project when they think it is ready.

It doesn't do FlightGear any good (and is in fact counter productive) to make changes to jsbsim inside Flightgear because all those changes will simply be overwritten on the next jsbsim update. Was this patch ever submitted to the jsbsim project? That's where jsbsim patches need to go.

We use jsbsim, plib, freeglut, openal, etc. etc., but even if those packages have flaws or missing features, it doesn't do any good to submit change to us (as in flightgear.) Changes need to be made up stream, and there is some time delay before the changed version can be used by Flightgear.

I'm sorry if you are upset about this, but it is the way things work and have always worked in this project. If you want to yank your contributions to the FlightGear project over this, then fine. You do great work and it's a shame to lose it from the project, but you get to decide what you want to contribute.

I hope you continue to build aircraft (because you do a wonderful job at it) and that you'll consider making your designs available elsewhere if not as part of FlightGear CVS.

Regards,

Curt.
