How do I check?

When I compile SimGear, I just did this:
$ ./configure
$ make; make install

For FlightGear, I did this:
$ ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/FlightGear
$ make; make install

Look in the final Makefile's or watch the commands scroll by. Do you find '-g' in the 'Makefile' files in the source directories? Do you see -g in the command that scroll by as you compile?

Curt.
