Yes.

I found these lines in the Makefile:
CFLAGS = -g  -D_REENTRANT
CXXFLAGS = -g  -D_REENTRANT
LDFLAGS = -g  -L/usr/X11R6/lib

In addition, I saw a lot of "-g" scrolled by whilie I was recompiling SimGear.

FlightGear is unstripped, as it should be.
