Greetings, Having a problem with FMP10a.
When I create a new record in a database, it takes about 60-80 seconds for the record to become available. In between the time I hit the cmd- N key and the record's availability, I get the multi-colored spinning ball.
This is a database that was originally created in FMP5 and has been transported up to FMP10 through FMP6 and FMP9.
It has 26,000+ records in it. Mostly text but with some images. There is full indexing on the primary text field, which does have some lengthy text in some records.
The datafile is being offered up on another machine running it in standard FMP10. It has NO DELAYS in generating and making available a new record.
What could be causing this problem? Regards, Chuck
