I suspect that the rate of spamming will now increase as the vulnerability represents value to spammers. MediaWiki 1.17.0 has been released: http://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/mediawiki-announce/2011-June/000101.html It would be a good time to upgrade if we want to maintain a dynamic wiki. --Fred
