No, there isn't. Use the source, Luke!

Remember: If documentation and code disagree, both are probabaly wrong.
There is also another newer BDF spec from Adobe (who originated the
format in the days when fonts where shipped on 1600 bpi magnetic tape
reels). All relevant links are collected on
