Additional information:
Browser: IE 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633
->found that it worked in netscape 7.02
Request Info: Request is coming from a secure site.
Response Info: I'm dumping the pdf into the response and setting the
mimetype to application/pdf.
PDF Plugin: Adobe Acrobat 5.0.5

Given that the prompt does not occur in netscape, I'm going to assume
that this is yet another bug in IE. If anyone else has any different
ideas, feel free to chime in.

Namespaces aren't even remotely related with seecure communications.
Neither are DTDs related to retrieving PDF over HTTPS. Whatever was
retrieved by the server in order to produce the PDF doesn't cause
security warnings on the client (I boldly assume the error message poped
up at the client, it sounds IEx-ish).

There's absolutely nothing which can be said about the original posters
problem without having a loook at the URLs in question as well as the
response headers, the exact brand and version of the browser and perhaps
the plugin used for the PDF rendering, whether the PDF was sent as part
of a MIME multipart response and a few other details.
